Finance and Logistics Administrator Role Available

Job Title: Finance and Logistics Administrator – FULL TIME  

Skill Level: Entry to Intermediate (recent University/Te Pukenga graduates welcome to apply!)

Reporting to: Head of Operations

Wages: $28.00/hour (higher pay with proven finance experience)

Starts: ASAP. Note Waikaitu is closed from noon 22 December and re-opens Monday 15 January 2024.

We prefer to do conclude interviews, if possible, before 22 December.

Job Description: 

This is a full-time permanent job working Monday through Friday. We value working together face-to-face to promote good team skills, but there is an opportunity to occasionally work from home for the right candidate if that is desired. 

This job comprises two functions:

1. 80% of the job is hands-on financial responsibility for day-to-day bookkeeping such as:

A/R, A/P, payroll, inputting financial transactions, managing bank reconciliations & feeds, and generating/coordinating reports of all kinds (Special Board reports, department monthlies, Ag-recovery, external investor). Work includes liaising with our Accountant Consultants to ensure appropriate fillings eg gst/year end, etc are completed and filed. 

2. 20% of the job is Logistics Coordination, and we are willing to provide you with training as needed:

In our seasonal manufacturing environment managing both domestic and international issues with our close-knit multi-functional team. 

Candidates will need

· Solid experience with MYOB, or a similar a computer accounting program, in order to track and record the financial transactions and records.  

· Strong Maths, MS Office (especially  MS-Excel) skills with outstanding attention to detail and accuracy.  

· Technical confidence and capability to take the tools we have currently in place and both optimise and leverage them to their full advantage.

· Superior ability to communicate clearly, with integrity and transparency – both internally and with our suppliers and customers you will be handling logistics for (domestic and international).

· Great self-managing project and problem-solving skills to proactively handle the flow of resources in and products out of the company to suit our and our customer’s needs.

 

For this role we are looking for Candidates with: 

· Experience in a similar role with referees - OR - we are happy to train new University or Te Pukenga graduates in Accounting/Finance.

· Passion for working with numbers, data entry, technology & client satisfaction. 

· Analytical problem-solving skills with great organisation and time management. 

· Foreign Currency exposure is a bonus. 

· Logistics experience is a bonus.

· Desire to learn!
